Clevis Hanger

Clevis hangers are pipe supports that are designed to secure hanging or elevated pipe runs. If you need to suspend piping from elevated beams or the ceiling, clevis hangers are a lifesaver.

Generally, clevis hangers include a yoke that connects to your support overhead.

There are Clevis Hanger Light Duty and Clevis Hanger Standard. The light duty line of commercial hangers and supports is an economical choice for light duty plumbing and mechanical projects.

Description

• Size Range: 1/2 inches to 24 inches

• Maximum temperature Plain 650°F, Galvanized 450°F.

• Conforms with Federal Specification A-A-11192A, WW-H-171 (Type 1), MSS SP-69(Type 1).

• Installation: When using an oversize clevis, it is recommended to install a full-width spacer on the cross bolt to prevent failure due to disfiguring the U-strap. When using insulated pipe，order hanger sized to correspond to overall dimension. It is also recommended to use insulation shields.

• Ordering: Specify figure number, pipe size, description and finish.

• Features: Designed with the yoke on outside of lower U-Strap so the yoke cannot slide toward the center of the bolt, thus bending of the bolt is minimized. Spacer sleeve used for size 16” thru 36”.

• Note: Punched forming holes may be present on certain sizes of this clevis hanger. These holes are solely for the purpose of manufacturing and do not affect the structural integrity or load carrying capacities of these hangers.
